Pop quiz: What do most people have in common with horses?
Answer: Blinders.
Blinders are the piece of equipment that partially block a horse’s view. The purpose? To keep a horse focused on what’s in front of him … or to prevent him from being spooked by something behind or next to him.
Unfortunately, many people have blinders on when it comes to the economy. They can only see the problems in front of them … remaining absolutely blindto the myriad money-making opportunities that surround them.
Wealthy people don’t have blinders. They recognize that recessions are a part of life. Rather than freaking out, being swallowed by fear, pointing fingers or dozens of other unhelpful reactions, they simply recognize how downturnsaffect the flow of money … and then shift their strategies to take advantage.
